Merantau

I have lived my life to taste "hidup merantau" from the age of 18 cos I was one of the lucky ones to be awarded a scholoarship to study abroad after my SPM. Yes it was tough but it's kind of fun as well when you go down that memory lanes which were full of stories, be it sad and great, so nostalgic.... But then again, nothing actually prepares u for living away from home except yourself... How u blend in with your surroundings and how fast u adapt to its lifestyle.... Ahhh... those fond memories during my Uni days !!!

But then again, it opens your eyes when u get to live in a another country where its population for one state almost equivalent of Malaysia's population. Imagine the city that is so crowded, noisy, dusty etc etc.... Poverty rate is so high, people made pedestrian pathways as their homes.... So sad... but it's the truth and living in Mumbai, India has made me realised that no where in the world could substitute home - MALAYSIA !!! U can take India in a small dose, but too large u may go bonkers !!! Hahaha....

Salam Ramadhan

Alhamdulilah.... bertemu semula dengan bulan Ramadhan yg mulia ini. Kepada semua yang melawati dan melewati blog saya, dengan rasa rendah diri, saya ucapkan Selamat Menyambut Bulan Ramadhan kepada semua. Semuga puasa kita semua diberkati dan diterima olehNya... InsyaAllah.....

Bambam

This is Bambam my darling cat !!! It's his 15th birthday today.... Yes people, long life !!! He used to have a partner, Pebbles but she died in 2005 due to lymphoma. Cats do get cancer....

Along the way, they produced few kittens but I didn't keep any.... It takes a lot to keep a pet, not just money but time as well. Bambam used to be neglected cos I don't have time to deal with him as I was equally busy with my lil son. I only manage to feed him in the morning and evening, then clear his litter box. Now I pass that duty to my maid.... Ahhhhh.....

He's a home bound cat.... I am too scared to let him out and mix with the strays (no offence ya stray cats.....) !!! Stray cats carry a lot of germs, be careful when touching them and always wash your hands after that. But I do let Bambam out once in a while within the compound of the house for some fresh air.

My Maid

My new maid Sri was sent to me Friday Nite by the agent.... My first impression, she's a bit slow but better than the cleverer ones !!! So, I must be very patient dealing with her as to teach her what to do and all.... This is her 1st time in Malaysia after she divorced her husband who went to marry her good friend... Alahai !!! Then, 1st thing I told her, focus, sincere, don't lie and work hard. Not so mean right ???

The next morning I had my long overdue hair and nails appointment... yes, the silver hairs are so visible and my dry ends beyond repair !!! We were off to my usual salon and were there for almost 3 hours !!! My lil son was so cranky but somehow, he is OK with this maid even she's very new in the household. I don't know, maybe babies have better instincts ???

While we were away, my husband became Magnum PI lah at home and went through her things... which nothing much. She came with a small bag that could pass for my toiletries bag !!! Very minimal clothes I can tell ya....

After we were done at the salon, gotta rush home amidst the traffic along MRR2 from Ampang, then off to Tg Karang for an Aqiqah. Of course, by the time we got there what was left is just food. Hahaha.... On the way back, we stopped by at the Fishmarket in Pasir Penambang, Kuala Selangor. Oh my.... looking at the freshest goods there, u would want to buy them all. Imagine, XL King Prawns were sold at RM43/kilo only. Of course being prawns lover, I grabbed some lah kan.... Bought some fish also that were so shiny and so very fresh.... Now that I have a maid, I can start cooking again daily....

New Maid

Finally, the agent told me that a new maid is coming this Friday.... a sheer relieve but then again I am anxious too.. Anxious in the sense that I hope history doesn't repeat. I am thinking of drafting a KPI for this new maid but then again, she might be overstress with the high expectation I have in mind.... Terus gila pulak nanti. Hahaha.... Siapa yang susah, me again !!!

I guess I can't expect much of this maid right ??? But I have to learn from the previous maid that I can't be too nice and tolerance anymore.... that is just me !!! Simply TOO NICE.... I was brought up that way...and I can't help it !!!

One thing for sure... she can't have her own handphone cos it will be the source of all the problems later, and that was what happened to the previous maid. Then I heard lots of stories as well, these maids sometimes would bring "funny stuff" with them when they are new here... if u know what I meant.... Aiyoh !!!

Anyway, I will take it at my own stride lah with this new maid, at least I could rest a little more... She can take care of Aqil for a while, so Aqil would not fall off the bed again !!! Yes... he fell off our bed of more than 2 ft high for the second time last week. He had his left eye blue black eye pea... can pass for Fergie's back up dancer.... The bruise is still there today but diminishing well. Thank GOD for that.... His 1st fall, I panic like mad, took him to Gleneagles, the MO that assessed Aqil also had his daughter fell off their bed... Oh OK.... doctor's baby also fell off bed !!! I was quite relieved lah then.... Last Monday, within a few seconds, BUMP.... he's on the floor again. This time he cried longer.... Waited till hubby got home from work, then off we went to see our GP only this time... She assessed Aqil thoroughly (FOC tau....), then gave him a clean bill of health... Just watch out for sympthoms like vomitting and passing out.... if any baby or child for that matter had a fall, immediately take him/her to A&E !!!! Don't wait ya....

Me being a new Mommy, there are so many things I have to learn and put to practice at the same time.... but mind u, certain things are definitely based on mommy's instincts !!!! Kelebihan seorang wanita..... Yeay !!!

Handphone story

I am happier cos my handphone is finally repaired, more of replacing its LCD which cost me RM280.00. But my camera is yet to be repaired.... hubby is thinking of D90 but then again we are not so much into photography but nothing wrong investing in great camera right ????

Thinking of uploading some more stuff, but I don't seem to have enough minutes to shoot the pics. Lil son is so up and about during the days that limit my movement doing own things... Above all, he is such a joy !!!!

Sad Story

First the camera....now my handphone !!! Yes, the handphone needs repair too. Worst cos its LCD shattered !!! Huhuhu.... Can't see a damn thing .... Poor me. And that will cost me a bomb.... That is more the reason why I set up my own blog to sell stuff - to support my ever increasing expenses. A lot of times, things happened so untimely. Now I am using my old handphone (1st generation 3G Nokia 6680) - it has no USB. The only manner I could transfer the pics thru bluetooth but I need to top up lil baby's pre-paid first !!! Ahhhhhhh.......

OK enough of my sighing over things......

Weekend in Historic Melaka

Our trip to Melaka was very joyful cos it coincided with my birthday and my good friend son's (Adam) birthday as well. Actually we have been celebrating our birthdays together every year since he's small, now he's 11 already.... how time flies huh !!!

We took the river cruise and discovered fascinating sites of Melaka that I never known before. I must say the State Govt had done very well in sprucing up the river and turned it into a tourist attraction. I do hope they could maintain it though... the cruise isn't expensive at RM10.00 for Adult and RM5.00 for children above 4... The ride was 45 minutes long that took us a total of 9km journey to and fro... Not bad ha.....

A Melaka trip will not be completed without a short journey to Serkam Pantai for its grilled seafood.... Yummy !!! That must be the climax of our trip.....

My Weekly Story....

My camera is yet to be repaired, thus, no new upload for now. However, I'll try to do so next week when a temp maid is here till I get a permanent maid who is apparently still in the rural area of Surabaya.... Hopefully, this one is more focus on her intention of coming to Malaysia, the land of plenty !!! That's why we have way too many PATI which include my old maid....

I had lunch at Tony Roma's today, an old darling friend treated me for birthday lunch - so called. Hahaha.... And tomorrow we are off to the Historical City of Melaka for a weekend getaway, ya... kononnye birthday celebration but more for my buddy's son who shares the same bday as I am and we have been celebrating it together for yonks....

Anyway.... to all of ya... have the greatest weekend ya... I know I would at Avillion Legacy Melaka.

No Fuss

Life is all about fuss.....

However today, I sold two of my items to a customer without fuss at all. She paid full price too.... Aaaaaaaaa..... bless her !!!!
